I have used this product several times with good results.I trace photos, drawings, even the perimeter of objects laid upon the plastic surface. The lightbox works well for me.There are a couple of caveats, but this is an inexpensive product so such is to be expected.The fold out stand seems a bit flimsy. I have only used the stand once, and it didn't fail, so perhaps it is thick enough. To my eye, it looks thin. I use it on my drafting board, an angled surface, so I keep the stand folded away.There isn't room to use drawing tools on the surface. I didn't know I would be using drawing tools (scale, French curve, etc.) with a tracing device, but I do. Sometimes the original is flawed and I need to correct a line or arc.The products was not made too small-there are a range of sizes available. Had I known how I would use the box, I would have spent a little more $$ for a larger unit. I will build a wooden frame around it for my specific needs. In fact, I will likely build a stand and mount just like a large pro lightbox.If you don't use tools with the box, or only use it for slides, it will work well for you. If you have any doubt, consider one or two sizes larger.SUMMARYA great product for the price.

I use this all the time for my art projects. It works so well with photos that are a little darker than I need. And it's just a nice size for the kitchen table.
