I have done side by side comparisons between Schneider, Leica, and other "price is no object" loupes and Schneider blew them all away for edge to edge crispness, contrast and quality. I was a Leica man myself, until I discovered Schneider. I use the loop for professional photography to insect identification to reading tiny instruction sheets. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

I love this loupe! I love the fact of how clear it is to look through. I use this for my 4x5 photography - both for looking my negatives and transparencies and for the ground glass. I like the fact it comes with both the clear end and the solid end. I normally have the solid end on unless I'm looking at a neg/transparency without a light table. My only complaint (If you want to call it a complaint) is that it's a little too large to use with my 6x17 film back. Great for 4x5 and up as far as ground glass backs go if you want the highest quality and clarity. I would recommend this to anybody.
